Far from civilization, of any sort, is nestled the bucolic fishing village of Scuttle. The Oids stumbled upon this village, that is removed from the vagaries of recent events in Nakana (The Middle Plane).

The citizens of Scuttle seem nice enough, but something is off. While the Oids are focused on solving the murder of the fishmonger, and of course lining their own pockets, they have noticed the following:

• While everyone speaks common tongue, it seems a bit off.
• The village is indeed small and isolated, but no one has mentioned anything about the blasting of The Cites and all major civilization areas—preventing Bob from muttering “Small Price to Pay.”
• There are no standard temples in Scuttle and even the one temple nearby is isolated and semi-deserted.
• The monsters, pirates, and such are new to the Oids.
• Yet, the Oids are able to leave and return to Scuttle at will. The sun is in its proper place. There is something strange about Scuttle. Perhaps the Oids will discover what as their adventure continues.
