Dragons do NOT breathe True Flame (although rumor has it the Black Dragon does).<\/p>\n<p>The word \u201cTrue\u201d for all labels is a rough translation. It is roughly \u201csource,\u201d and \u201cpure\u201d and \u201carchetype.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While to the naked eye it often seems like True Flame destroys things instantaneously, it is like any flame in that it effects the surface\u2026which in the case of True Flame is usually very, very, fast.<br \/>The idea is that True Flame does effect everything\u2026sooner or later (although rumors swirl that the Black Dragon is immune).<\/p>\n<p>Things of note:<br \/>True flame is non-conservation of energy destruction. Everything it destroys ceases to exist. It is not clear (to even the gods) if this include the \u201csoul\u201d (and thus is a True Death) or not, but all sentient beings destroyed by True Flame have never reincarnated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the wild\u201d the only spell that has true flame is prismatic spray. It is only 1% or less of the spectrum but is still devastating.<\/p>\n<p>Two materials occurring naturally that \u201cresist\u201d True Flame are Lithon and Ptroni.<br \/>Lithon \u201ccoating\u201d as an example resists True Flame for 2 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>As a \u201crule of thumb\u201d Lithon will burn off at a millimeter per combat round (10 seconds) and will be \u201csoft\u201d for a short period of time below that (about 10 mm).<\/p>\n<p>Ptroni will last 10 times longer than Lithon.<\/p>\n<p>Generally speaking, True Flame is modestly frowned upon as overly destructive, but in practice it has been \u201cIf you have it, use it as necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Much is misunderstood about true flame.
